Donate Your Time

An event of this magnitude can only be managed through the tireless work of the volunteers. Although there is a core team of volunteers, the need for volunteers increases dramatically in the days surrounding Skepticon.

This doesn't mean that you need to have a ton of experience running skeptical events. We have tons of positions that require little or no preexisting training. Running the check in tables, helping direct people, and passing out pamphlets. You could help take head counts at events, give parking directions, or run and get PZ Myers his lunch. The behind the scenes work at this event is endless, and every bit of help is met with gratitude.

There are also going to be meetings to help make up the name tags, fold schedules, and helping to post signs. If you are getting into town early, let us know and we may be able to meet with you before the event actually begins.

(Of course if you have a nifty skill set, like experience with press releases or fund-raising experience, that is extra cool. And letting us know what skills you do have will let both you and Skepticon get the most out of your volunteer experience.)
